| Help with a skin? |

So, figure instead of spam we'll get a real question. XD Is there anyone still watching this that knows all the technical stuff for skins for the original sims? I have one that I'd love to use, but it crashes my game. I think something is wrong with the head files as if I try to make a family with the Sim the head won't show up where it should in the Family preview. If I try and use the skin, it will crash my game and won't let me do anything until I remove the family from my game.
If there's anybody that would know what to look for that could possibly fix it I would love to be able to use it finally, but I just don't know enough to figure it out on my own and I don't think it's possible to still contact the girl who originally made it. I tried once a long time ago and never got a reply back, so I get the feeling trying again now would be just as futile. |

Okay folks, for those of you still paying attention, there is someone out here. :) We have a horrible lack of actual posts and way too many spammers (especially the last few days) so I've set the comm to moderated to save all of our friends pages. Anyone who actually wants to post something sims related will get approved, but this way I'll catch the spammers before they can do anything irritating. I've deleted the recent spammy posts and banned the users, so at least they won't be pestering us anymore.
Someone asked whether this comm was for all sims games or just Sims 1, and it is for all of the games if that's the way we want it. Which at this point couldn't hurt. Does anyone still play the original game? I get a kick out of playing it from time to time, though I spend most of my time on Sims 2. I don't like the way they've gone all retro on Sims 3, where it takes five hours to get ready for work in the morning. >. |

Installing The Sims onto my computer for the first time since I got my new hard drive. It's such a pain in the butt having to extract so many files into the game. XD I've downloaded a lot of stuff over time. |

So I'm getting the Sims 2 University tomorrow.. but I have some questions.
Are you expected to manage both families at the same time? Like control your Sim at college AND your adult Sims at home? I know in Sims3 you can like manage the whole neighborhood almost(Which made me feel really overwhelmed with so much to do).. but my laptop doesn't run Sims3 (I play it at the bfs) so I only bought Sims 2.
Also do I have to install expansion packs in order? Well only the University expansion really appeals to me really.. but just saying. And if I get the "item" expansion packs is there a particular order for those? |

...So I just got the Sims 2 (yeah I'm slow) and I'm wondering...If I turn aging off with the cheat code, does it stay off, or do I need to turn it off every time I play? |

Hello everybody!
Yesterday evening a new sims2 community was born. It's a sims2 awards community where you can show your ideas and creations. I'm searching for mods and of course, for a lot of users that want to partecipate at some interesting contest, there will be a new theme every week.
